Building a lasting legacy since the early 1960s, OSC grew from Dubai’s first dedicated oil and gas supply base into a trusted regional partner, supporting exploration and offshore production across the Middle East.
Oilfields Supply Center Ltd. (OSC) was founded in Dubai in the early 1960s at the direction of His Highness Sheikh Rashid bin Saeed Al Maktoum. It was the region’s first supply base and quickly became a reliable partner for Dubai’s pioneering oil exploration activities.
As the Middle East developed, OSC expanded beyond its original Dubai Creek location to larger premises near the Maktoum Bridge, coinciding with the start of Dubai’s offshore oil production.
In the 1970s, Port Yard facilities at Port Rashid were added to handle growing operational demands efficiently.
Over the decades, OSC has maintained its commitment to excellence and strategic support, combining experience with a vision for continued leadership in the region’s oil and gas sector.

The Beginning: Port Rashid
1962
Founded by His Highness Sheikh Rashid bin Saeed Al Maktoum.
Smith International Gulf Services
1974
Created Smith International Gulf Services with Smith International, currently a 100% OSC subsidiary.
MI Gulf Services
1977
Entered a Joint Venture with DRESCO, creating MI GULF, now 100% OSC Subsidiary
Jebel Ali - Relocation from Port Rashid
1994
Relocated to Jebel Ali to expand operations and better serve the growing oil and gas industry in the region.
OSC SIML (Smith international manufacturing limited)
2003
Entered a Joint Venture with Smith International (previously a SLB Company), creating OSC-SIML, now 100% OSC Subsidiary.
LOSC - Malaysia
2014
Developed LOSC Common User Supply Base in Johor Bahru, Malaysia.
full ownership of osc-siml: a dubai industrial city based manufacturing hub
2016
Since the JV creation in 2003, with Smith International (previously a SLB Company), to create SIML (Smith International Manufacturing Limited), in 2016, OSC obtained full ownership of the entity. The manufacturing facility spans 123,494 sqft in Dubai Industrial City.
Oilfields Supply Company Saudi
2019
Oilfields Supply Company Saudi fully operational with 3 key entities: Oilfields Supply Company Limited, OSC Saudi OGEI, and OSC Saudi DTM.
Türkiye Entity Established
2025
OSC’s Türkiye entity, TOSC, Sondaj Makineleri Anonim Şirketi, was established
